Operation is fully automatic, controlled by a wall-mounted humidistat that starts the dehumidifier when humidity rises above a set threshold and stops it when ideal conditions are restored. An automatic changeover thermostat manages heating and cooling functions independently.

Installation options accommodate a range of facility layouts and space constraints. Units are available in horizontal and vertical configurations and can be installed indoors, outdoors, or on rooftops with curb-mounted assemblies. The systems integrate with existing ductwork in a manner similar to standard HVAC installations, and controls can connect to building management systems using BACnet, or MODBUS protocols for centralized monitoring.

Water-cooled condenser options are also available for facilities with access to geothermal energy, cooling towers, chillers, processed water, or municipal water supplies. Every DCA dehumidifier is factory tested prior to shipment to verify efficiency and capacity performance under operating conditions.
